In January of last year Jonathan Lambert represented Coláiste Dhúlaigh at FIPA, a film festival held in Biarritz, France. This Irish Film Institute initiative sees four individual film students from four individual film colleges attend the festival and shoot a documentary while staying there. The completed documentary – FIPA 2006: A Student Perspective – will be screened as part of this year's Stranger Than Fiction Documentary Film Festival in the IFI.

During the summer, 2nd year film student Michael Whelan took part in The One Minute Junior Network project. This project provides young filmmakers from Europe and Central Asia with the opportunity to make a one-minute film. These films are then entered into an overall competition. Michael's film Mind Games can be viewed at www.theoneminutesjr.org
