COLÁISTE DHÚLAIGH FILM PRODUCTION NEWS ISSUE 3 SEPTEMBER 05 Congratulations to Martina Carey, Nicola Jackson, Amanda Mulderry, Michelle Becker, Rebecca Craig, Andrew O Leary, Brendan Murphy, Emmet Vincent, Paul Sills, Andrea Caslin and Charlene Lydon who all graduated this year with BA degrees from the University of Wolverhampton. All of the above students took the option of final year entry into Wolverhampton having completed their two-year HND in Film Production at Coláiste Dhúlaigh. The college was well represented at this years' Oxygen SMEDIA Awards held in April. Shadow , directed and produced by Brendan Murphy and Emmet Vincent was nominated for Best film, while A Fish Called Bob , written by Martina Carey and Larry the Bastard , written by Emmet Vincent, were both nominated for Best screenplay. The judging panel featured a wide variety of industry professionals. Larry the Bastard, directed by Martina Carey and Amanda Mulderry, was screened on RTE in July as part of their short screen series. The film was also shortlisted for an award at the Blink Festival in Coventry. From September 05, the film course will be housed in a new location within the existing building.
